Fresh install, web interface only available for a short time

Hello,

I am new to proxmox and today I wanted to play with it a little, so we can get to know each other.
The web interface is available for a short time after booting up the pc, but after some time( sometimes a few minutes sometimes half a minute) it goes unreachable.
I tried pinging a dns server and the router itself, but nothing is reachable, i tried pinging the server from a different machine, but no luck either.
I tried to change the ip for reaching proxmox and setting it up to use dhcp, but same result both time.

Anybody has an idea what could be happening here?

You appear to have a network layer problem. It can range from bad switch port to bad cable, to bad network card, to bad pci slot.
You need to start with examining the logs, such as "dmesg" and "journalctl" for evidence of network flappig.

Could also be a duplicate IP in the network.

I checked journalctl from the proxmox instance and got some broken bios errors and some other things, but nothing that would lead me directly to the problem. Tried to boot into ubuntu from an USB, everything works fine, roughly the same errors as with proxmox.
I was thinking about IP duplicate, but i tried 2 IP that should not be taken and also tried letting the router give the ip for the machine. Also tried reserving that ip, but no luck.

My dumbass didnt check bios version before and i just bought this computer. (its from 2016, didnt check the date from the specific version, but its version 03 and the new one is around 40, so its very old)
Gonna install windows and update bios and see if it helps, but i have a guess my problem is somewhere else.
