fixed tap device

i am also interested to have an automated routed setup for KVM Bridges.

1. You could avoid unknown MAC addresses in a hosted setup
2. You could save IP addresses by just NAT'ing the requested Services
3. You would save administrative tasks and avoid failures in the firewall config

It would also be cool to somehow use the KVM Nat networking devices configure routes from the outside into the NAT containers.

Why NAT????
DO you want to use proxmox as the firewall itself????
Better no.

when you get a limited number of IP addresses you have to swallow the bitter pill

no,

i just wanted to get into the internal NAT'ing auf KVM devices, where you geht IPs from 10.0.2.15

My problem is that i have to use routed networking, because other MAC addresses get discarded.

so it would be really nice to use KVM Nat inside Proxmox and somehow automate NAT'ing from external addresses into the private ones.

ok i undestand now...

fixed tap device again....

I've upgraded and QemuServer.pm

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH

the kvm${vmid}."i".$i

overwritten.....

OK, corrected myself...

When do you think to add it to the code??? (IF) :-)

Ciao, Diaolin

nice...

We will release V1.1 today.

but the change "ifname" is included?

We should speak more over the shorewall question....

I'm doing a course with PVE and i've written a, i hope, good shorewall config, very very simple and effective.

It covers all what we have spoken about....
I'll write a mail in many days...

Anyway PVE is GREAT!

Bravi!

sure

I would like too, but there are simply too much things to do ...

Great - I am curious ;-)
