[SOLVED] Fix broken networking in rescue mode

Hello,

currently I set up a new server with Proxmox, though more or less successfully. Now I am at a point where the server won't be available via the IP anymore. Eventhough I overwrote the interfaces file (etc/network/interfaces) with a working version, the server still seems to be nonresponsive.

Any idea what I could do now without a hard-reset?

have you restarted the networking after overwriting /etc/network/interfaces ?

can you post the contents of the file? (mask public IP address)

Hi, I locked myself from proxmox how do you reset the networking setting in resume mode.

you can edit /etc/network/interfaces after mounting the disk.
