First installation, NO Ip address and no web interface.

Hi everyone,
Thanks in advance for your help. I just finished the installation and I am provided with an IP address, but when I tried accessing the web interface it’s actually doesn’t work. It’s doesn’t even load, just site unreachable. When I try ip addr show: nothing comes up. But I see a static ip on /etc/network/interface (see picture)
I am obviously doing something wrong here. Please help.

The interface shows DOWN, are you sure you have a good cable? Its plugged into correct jack? There is light on the NIC/switch?

is this a laptop or some sort of USB network card?

It’s actually a MacBook Pro 2018. The thing is this machine has been seating around for years and I tried installing other linux on there and it wouldn’t work. Proxmox is the first OS that I have successfully installed. It obviously comes with the USBC ports. I connected it to a Targus 310 Docking station and connected the network cable there.

Examine you boot log sequence for any errors that might be network card/docking station related.
Grab a live CD of latest Ubuntu, boot from it/usb and see if network port goes to UP state. If not, then either your have bad hardware or its not compatible. That is assuming you are certain the cable is good. Try to plug the cable directly to another PC as an experiment.
