Hello everybody,

this is the first time that I will use Proxmox for a server virtualization project.

I would like to use two identical servers with a
NAS to manage VMs.

I want to use this type of server:

HP ProLiant ML350p Gen8 Intel Xeon E5-2609v2 4-Core (2.50GHz 10MB)

48GB PC3L-12800R DDR3

1 x HP 300GB SSD

Smart Array P420i/ZM

1 x HP Ethernet 10Gb 2P 530T Adapter

and a NAS :

Network Storage Server QNAP Turbo NAS TS-879U-RP - 1 x Intel Core i3 i3-2120 3,30 GHz - 4 GB RAM

8 x HDD RE 2TB 3.5 SATA RPM 6Gbs 64MB

1 x HP Ethernet 10Gb 2P 530T Adapter

I would like to be sure before buying the products, that everything is fully compatible with Proxmox.

Is there anyone who could give me an opinion on the configuration?

Hi,
can't say much about your servers. Only that hp-servers sometimes has strange effects. I have one which are not able to boot several OS - years ago, tried nexenta, debian and so on - pve works...

And with hp you get only bios-updates with an valid support-contract.
