Howdy. I'm trying to enable the on-board WiFi + BT adapter on my Proxmox VE server but it looks like the required firmware is too new to have made it into the PVE packages:

0:14.3 Network controller: Intel Corporation Device 7af0 (rev 11) DeviceName: Onboard - Ethernet Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 0074 Flags: fast devsel, IRQ 18, IOMMU group 6 Memory at 4361c000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel modules: iwlwifi

[1266049.684580] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-so-a0-hr-b0-40.ucode failed with error -2 [1266049.684585] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Direct firmware load for iwlwifi-so-a0-hr-b0-39.ucode failed with error -2 [1266049.684586] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: no suitable firmware found! [1266049.684589] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: minimum version required: iwlwifi-so-a0-hr-b0-39 [1266049.684590] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: maximum version supported: iwlwifi-so-a0-hr-b0-66 [1266049.684592] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: check git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git

It looks like I can pull the firmware in from outside of a the packaging system but first I wanted to check to see if there's a better/more supportable path to getting the firmware in place? Maybe like a beta/pre-release package of something?

Thx
