Firewall gui refresh rules to take effect

I'm trying to enable the firewall at the node level, and found I sometimes needed to navigate away from the settings for them to take effect, or I've had to disable/enable the firewall again.

What is the correct way to force firewall rules applied through the gui? Note: I'm not familiar (yet) with IP tables, but I understand most firewall concepts.

Hi, the firewall update loop should run every 10 seconds, so you may in the worst case really need to wait for 9-10 seconds until the new rules/configurations got processed and translated to iptable rules.

Or do you need to wait longer than that?
