My server had some drive issues and was not functioning properly so I rebooted it but now it only shows 1 of the 2 drives. There were 2 pools on it but now 'zpool status' only shows 1 (a mirror-0 which is degraded, the other one was a raid0). How can I get the configuration of the pools so I can restore/recreate the pools again?

thx

The mirrored pool is fine, then stripped pool is gone if one of the two disks is not present anymore.

What do you mean by configuration? The pool that is gone ... is gone, you cannot extract anything from it. The other pool is degraded, so it works but only with one copy. Now is the time to backup the important data on your remaining pool.

Please check what the problem of the disk is.

I wanted recreate the exact pools (same naming etc) thats what I ment with configuration.

However when the hosting provider went to replace the faulty drive they noticed that it was not plugged in properly. pfff. I have no idea how that can happen with a dedicated server running for some time already.

thanks for the replies.

Okay, just the name of the pool is retrievable.

Please also have working backups. A few years ago, one of those "hosting providers" unplugged the wrong drive after one of two failed and left us without any working drive.
