Feedback request about openvz or kvm VM set with several CPUs ?

Hello,

All is in the title.

I remember that in the past it was recommanded to not set more than 1 CPU for
a KVM guest. Is this still true with Proxmox 1.5 ?

Same question for OpenVZ guests, is it safe to set several CPUs ?

Any feedback from users running guests set with several CPUs
would be very appreciated.

SMP in KVM is still not perfect but usable, you can expect improvements later this year.

OpenVZ: the stable 2.6.18 supports cpulimits (was never implemented in 2.6.24 and higher openvz kernels).
