Feature Request - show vm/ct name with id

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I have a feature request.

I have a backup server that has backups of usually around 10 machines per host so when browsing backups its hard to know which backup is which without cross referencing the ID numbers back to the pve host, just wondering if the name could also show in the backup description like it does in the list in pve.

Hi,

this is an thing I waiting for, too.
I diddn't understand, why proxmox only use so simple id ans no UIDs for identificate the VMs. Even the given vm name in the backup string will help much.

Similar enhancement requests are already in Bugzilla

• include name of vm/vz in backup filename https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=438
• Webui option to add a comment in the name of the backup file https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1888
• Display the VM/Container name next to the ID https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3207

By adding yourself to their CC list you will get notified as soon as their status changes. Furthermore, backup from multiple Proxmox VE clusters is already on the Proxmox Backup Server roadmap.
