Hello, everyone. I have successfully coerced my organization to switch over to Proxmox. We have been running in production for about six months now. One feature that I've been asked about a few times is scheduled tasks. Basically, my organization wants to be able to set a VM/CT to power down, or reboot at a specific time regardless of what the OS is doing. Right now, I do that wil cron jobs, not everyone in my organization knows or needs to know how to operate the CLI / manage cron jobs. Additionally we would have to work on accounts, permissions, etc. It would be nice if we were able to schedule these tasks from within the webui and deal with the accounts/permissions from there using the PVE realm.

You could only grant them access to manually execute shutdowns via the UI with VM.PowerMgmt perms on a pool or on individual guests.
For the scheduling you'd need to go outside PVE. Either drive the API directly with a token scoped to that same privilege, or use Ansible with a frontend like https://semaphoreui.com/ so your team gets a UI and an audit trail.
