I have to re-build my node and I start the 8.3 USB installer (first of all it didn't fully work in GUI mode; the whole middle is blank, yet the top and bottom/buttons are fine as is the mouse pointer) so then I have to reboot to get into Terminal mode. I go through the steps to get to the partition step, but it found my NVME drive in addition to my root SATA drive (it installs on). It asks about renaming or cancelling. I try "rename" but it fails ... so I reboot, go into GParted, delete the partitions. Reboot again, but it now finds the previous install (that just failed), so reboot, Gparted that one and round and round we go...
ALL of this could be avoided and streamlined by just asking, "Rename, Format or Cancel" (buttons)...
My guess is 93.4% of the time people are just trying to wipe everything and start fresh here. And not sure what "rename" would even do? Can I salvage the data? Is it just setups? Is it something I could restore with the new fresh setup once booted? Do you detect that renamed PV or whatever and do the needful for me? Like what's the point of that?
