I was just playing with backups. Works nice of course, but.. it doesn't do incrementals as far as I can see. If you're running VE's that are 100 GB in size, backing up + compressing takes forever.
I would vote for an additional backup method which actually does incrementals. A lovely script I've been using for this purpose for over a year now is Backup2l (http://backup2l.sourceforge.net/). It's basically a set of scripts to create &restore tar backups. In the interface it should then be possible to give the command to "restore backup of VE xxxx of last monday".
