It would be nice be able to download files from host storage via gui. For example, say you have uploaded an iso file to proxmox host1 and later deleted it from your local computer. Now you want to add the iso file to host2, but the only copy you have is on host1 and perhaps it takes a long time to download from a website. If there was a download option, you could quickly download from host1 and then upload to host2. Another example would be using backup files to migrate between hosts that are on a different cluster. Backup guest on host1, download backup file, upload backup to host2, then restore. From cli, this is possible via scp, rsync, etc, but it would be a nice addition to the gui. Thanks Moayad! I added a comment to "bug 1166" which is the feature I want. The bug has the status of "RESOLVED WONTFIX". I am not sure adding a comment will cause a reconsider or not.
