Hello, I would like to discuss the possibility of a new feature for machines using GPU passthrough.
We have some VMs where the GPU is passed through and used for video output. Unfortunately in this configuration, as far as we are aware there is no way for the console tab to still work for such VMs (please do let me know if I am mistaken). Our workaround has been to install a VNC server on the VM, and create another VM that does nothing but host a VM client. We then use that "jump"VM to access the VM with the GPU. However, this seems rather roundabout since Proxmox already has a VNC client built-in. It's also somewhat confusing (with the two desktops) and introduces another level of latency/compression.
Hence, our feature idea is to allow optionally redirecting the noVNC console to a self-hosted VNC server.
Any thoughts?
