Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get my SAN LUNs using fcoe on my bl460g9 blade on HP C7000 enclosure and dell emc san.

proxmox 5.1 is based on debian 9 stretch, but seem the package fcoe-utils is still not release in stable.

I tried to install the package from testing, but there is no fcoe.service, only fcoe-utils.service.

Does someone successfully configured fcoe on proxmox 5.1?

Thx a lot in advance

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question, yet I also tried FCoE on 460g8 or g9 in 2016 on RHEL6, and I was very disappointed with the stability and we switched to "real" FC-HBAs and all our problems were gone. Have you similar experiences?

wel, I have a colleague who is testing openstack on centos 7 on other blades on the same enclosure, and he doesn't have any issue using fcoe.

I always loved debian but when I see that .....I don't think proxmox will fit my needs

In our testing lab, we had the same, yet in production, we got reoccurring crashes after a 30 day usage on both nodes in an Oracle RAC, so we switched them to FC and never had any crashes since then.
