I just checked and noticed this now - new server and already disk failed? Purchased these new yesterday and already 1 failed :(

I checked zpool status

root@vz-jhb-1:~# zpool status
pool: rpool
state: DEGRADED
status: One or more devices could not be used because the label is missing or
invalid. Sufficient replicas exist for the pool to continue
functioning in a degraded state.
action: Replace the device using 'zpool replace'.
see: http://zfsonlinux.org/msg/ZFS-8000-4J
scan: none requested
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
rpool DEGRADED 0 0 0
raidz2-0 DEGRADED 0 0 0
4855097323164774743 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 was /dev/sda2
sdb2 ONLINE 0 0 0
sdc2 ONLINE 0 0 0
sdd2 ONLINE 0 0 0
sde2 ONLINE 0 0 0
sdf2 ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

Is that really a faulty disk? Because if I run smartctl I get this:

root@vz-jhb-1:~# smartctl -a /dev/sda
smartctl 6.4 2014-10-07 r4002 [x86_64-linux-4.2.8-1-pve] (local build)

How to correct?

nevermind got it working.

zpool replace -f rpool 4855097323164774743 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-Crucial_CT1024MX200SSD1_16031184DD45
Make sure to wait until resilver is done before rebooting.

Looks like it just lost its label somehow.
