What I mean is ... would I end up with the same system, or do the systems differ in some way (== PVE installer is only for convenience and equivalent to Debian installation + steps described in the links)? That depends on your proficiency.
That depends on what you would want to archieve. Currently, there is no way to use the vanilla/stock Debian Installer to install a ZFS-based PVE without a lot of intermediary steps, yet If you would know what you want, you could end up with something that is very similar as the PVE version, if you're really good you'll end up with the same, but then you could just use the PVE installert. What I mean is ... would I end up with the same system, or do the systems differ in some way (== PVE installer is only for convenience and equivalent to Debian installation + steps described in the links)?
So do this:I want to use F2FS for the Proxmox system partition, and the Proxmox installer (as well as the Debian installer) doesn't support it.
In the end, you can always boot up your favourite Debian Live Image and rebuilt what you want.
