extract files from .raw image

hello.

for openvz vpses, i can use vzctl enter VMID in host server and access files, but how do it for KVM vpses? is there any way to access files from server?

is there anyway to extract files from .raw image format? (kvm vps hard disk)

as said in that post, the simplest way is

boot the vm from a virtual iso livecd, and access the disks from there...

i can do that , but there are about 100 gb of files on hard drives, i want to copy files to another virtual machine on server (openvz)

Hi,
for a quick boot is grml a very usefull live-cd (but not for "klickie-buntie-fans" ;-) it's more for texttool-user

There is also an small edition, so the download is fast.

With this cd, you can mout your partition and copy they with scp (over the network) to the new destination. Or you take rsync for whole directories...

there are plenty... the simplest you can use:
http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download

then, follow udo post. you have to know how to do scp or rsync, or use another storage on your network...
if not, ask someone around you for help
