Is it possible to have a VM preconfigured with an external VNC password and port at VM creation?

EDIT: Another way is to set up a VM and configure it, and make it a template for future VMs.

But this wont create a password though will it? and it will leave the VNC open.

Not with the config file method, hence the suggestion about template VMs.

but everytime the vm restarts i have to re-enter the vnc details and password so that will not work unless i am missing something.

You can create an basic VM with your preferred OS, with a VNC server configured on it as a service. Convert it to a template and use it for the future VMs. I can't think of an easier solution. Maybe with the snippets feature also possible.
