I have recently setup a small (currently 2 node but bringing 3rd node online soon) PVE 7 storage cluster to serve RBD to my larger PVE6 (currently) cluster.
I disabled CEPHX as its all local gatewayless networks serving CEPH data. I can see the RBD of my external cluster but the moment i put a VM onto that storage the entire PVE6 host loses connection to the cluster GUI.
The VMs on the host still function but I get connection time outs on the Summery page and on any VM attached to that host. The moment i login via SSH and remove the new VM i created (with the drive on my RBD share) everything goes back to normal again.
My larger PVE6 cluster does not have ceph installed.
PVE 7 storage cluster has CEPH Pacific on it.
Could that be the reason? PVE6 doesn't support pacific? I cant see that being the issue as it is serving from a share but I am stumped.
