Hi forum!

I'm currently searching for a ESET Mail Security replacement. It's EOL on Linux mail servers. I was very happy with its SPAM filtering capability. It recognized way more SPAM messages than the SpamAssassin we previously ran on the relays.
Now I learned that PROXMOX uses SpamAssassin. What are your experiences regarding the filtering quality? Did PROXMOX improve the standard SpamAssassin "Engine" or would I have to expect the same quality?

Thank you very much!

Regards
Armin

* PMG uses SpamAssassin with little modification - however the KAM ruleset is added and updated regularly.
* additionally we suggest a few tweaks to the config, which usually lead to acceptable results regading the detection rate:

(We run PMG ourselves and are quite happy with it - but of course ymmv)

I hope this helps!

I just installed it last week. We migrated off of Reflexion because they are discontinuing their service. It's not as featureful or as good at catching spam, but so far the results have been acceptable. I'm using the base install without modifications.

I would assume things can be improved with some tweaking and customizations.

Some features I noticed missing
* email alias support
* task specific email addresses https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9308648

But I'm happy enough with it.

On Avast Homepage i found Avast Business Antivirus für Linux.
Seems to be the replacement. Licensing is per device and daemon seems to be included.
