/etc/pve distributed filesystem

Greetings

If my understanding is correct, /etc/pve is a fuse-based distributed filesystem. What is the software behind it? is it possible to use this software for other needs? (in my case, replication of Nginx configuration files between several hosts). I mean, not using /etc/pve but using the software inside guests.

it's pmxcfs [0].

there's a sqlite3 database in /var/lib/pve-cluster/config.db which backs the FUSE filesystem on /etc/pve. this is then replicated to the other nodes using corosync cluster engine.

A few smaller nginx configs that aren't updated very frequently can be OK.
