Hello erveryone :)

I m quite a new proxmox user, and and last week, i installed syslog-ng, to report logs on my syslog server, but the problem is i figured out my proxmox server doesn't work anymore, because my folder "/etc/pve" simply disappeared, i m sure didn't fail a "rm" command, or any shit like that.

So i don't know how it really works, if any symbolic links were broken or something like that.

Anyone got a clue on this ? ^^

Have a nice day :)

Please use rsyslog instead. I guess you simply removed the pve packages when installing syslog-ng?

Check with:

# pveversion -v

Hi,
I guess you have simply remove pve, because it's has rsyslog as dependency.

Yes, that's what i thought at first, but i wasn't sure

But now it seems to be solved, many commands were removed, i reinstalled for example pve-clusters, pve-manager etc .. And i have my proxmox back :)

thanks :)
