[Solved] Error: Ticket authentication failed

Hi all,

I've set up 2 machines using Proxmox 1.7. One server contains my virtual machines. I set the active server to "Master" (works), and tried to add the other server to the cluster (pveca -a -h <IP>). the command says "OK", but in the Master's WEB GUI the following error appears:

nosync

ERROR: Ticket authentication failed - invalid ticket 'root::root::1299077968::7aa7c984a356730ae450256b58accb6b1300146e::f2f8adf768e62de16d5b5a82b8c4a64d7c7f6901'

I've tried the following things:

- stopped pvetunnel and pvemirror, removed known_hosts and /etc/pve/cluster.cfg,
startet pvetunnel and pvemirror
- created new cluster

I can ssh from 1 to 2 and 2 to 1 without a password.

In /var/log/syslog the log message is:

Mar 2 16:07:43 proxmox proxwww[3800]: Ticket authentication failed - invalid ticket 'root::root::1299077968::7aa7c984a356730ae450256b58accb6b1300146e::f2f8adf768e62de16d5b5a82b8c4a64d7c7f6901'

I guess your time is out of sync - please check if both nodes have the same time.

I am also having the same issue. the time is in sync.....have tried to reinstall the node with no luck

What is the output of

# pveversion -v
