Hi @All,

I am running a Proxmox Server where vzdump.conf is not configured. Meaning no change in the conf. All options are commented out.
I used the GUI for crating a backup job. I backup 4 KVM Windows Systems and in the Task viewer I see the line below.
Is this an error?

Use of uninitialized value $targetdev in string eq at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/VZDump/QemuServer.pm line 139.

Output Task viewer:
Code:

Sorry for the delay (I missed that post somehow). Can you still reproduce that bug? If so, please can you post the VM config?

Hi dietmar,

thank you for looking into it.

The answer is yes, I can reproduce the error. This is true for all the KVM VM's.
You should know that I updated to the latest version this morning.

vm config from one of my VM's:

Code:
acpi: 1
args: -cpu host
boot: cd
bootdisk: virtio0
cores: 4
cpuunits: 18746
freeze: 0
ide2: none,media=cdrom
ide3: none,media=cdrom
kvm: 1
lock: backup

net0: e1000=AE:28:CE:D7:FE:B2,bridge=vmbr1
onboot: 1

vga: std
virtio0: local:102/vm-102-disk-1.raw
virtio1: local:102/vm-102-disk-2.raw
virtio2: /dev/sdb,backup=no

Kind regrads

Seem to be related to the storage definition 'WHS-NFS'. Please can you post the configuration for that storage:

# cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg

And what is the output of

# df -P -T -B 1 /path/to/that/storage

Hi dietmar,

sorry for the delay.

here is the requestet information:

storage.cfg
Code:
dir: local
        path /var/lib/vz
        content images,iso,vztmpl,rootdir

nfs: WHS-NFS
        path /mnt/pve/WHS-NFS
        server 172.25.1.48
        export /ProxmoxNFS
        options vers=3
        content iso,backup

nfs: proxmox2nfs
        path /mnt/pve/proxmox2nfs
        server 172.25.1.48
        export /Proxmox2nfs
        options vers=3
        content backup

Output of df -P -T -B 1
Code:
Filesystem Type 1-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
172.25.1.48:/ProxmoxNFS nfs 1978911916032 -149366472704 2128278388736 - /mnt/pve/WHS-NFS

Kind regards

Why is available a negative number?? (-149366472704)

Hi dietmar,

I use Windows Home Server v1 (Acer EasyStore H341) in combination with MS Services for Unix 3.5 (SFU 3.5) for all my proxmox server. So far it worked pretty well for almost 2 years. Not fast but cheap ;-).
Anyway - because of the "drive extender" in WHS the query for available diskspace in combination with NFS always shows negative numbers.
But it did not effected any functionality. I did not had any problems with backup over NFS with WHS before.
I assume that you could reproduce the error?

Kind regards
