I've somehow removed some critical apt services from the Proxmox instance.
I'm running 4.3? ish, and was trying to apt-get update.
It mentioned "ceph" was being held back, and then to get rid if of the issues I "apt-get remove ceph". It then removed all what looked to be very important services, which whatever I do do not want to go back... namely VE, VE manager etc.
The server boots and I can SSH to it, but all http front end has gone and all the servers I'm hosting under it.
=====
Update:
I ran : apt install proxmox-ve postfix open-iscsi
This install everything as I understand, and the server now boots with UI, and all my services show. But no access and no console.
Error 500: command '/bin/ss -Htln 'sport = :5900'' failed: exit code 255
On the top of the "no VNC" console. Spice and xterm are greyed out.
