Hi,

it would also be nice to have a ERP instance like OpenBravo, Adempiere oder Compiere, because they are always hard to setup.

Maybe these projects are willing to contribute, because they offer vmware images themself.

edit: there is a qemu appliance available for OpenBravo:

http://ovh.dl.sourceforge.net/sourc...voERP-2.50alpha-r10.x86.qemu-parallels.hdd.gz

QEMU appliance

  • Supported versions: QEMU 0.8 or higher. Optionally use KQEMU to increase performance.
  • File name: OpenbravoERP-2.50alpha-r9.qemu-parallels.gz
  • Allocated free space: 2GB
  • Allocated swap space: 128MB

can you point them to Proxmox VE - by using 'dab' it should be quite easy for them to build a OpenVZ based appliances for Proxmox VE.

i did it and they are somehow interested but point to their exisiting appliance to use and convert them.

the installation is quite complex, i am not certian if i can handle it using dab.

another approach might be to develop an migration script for parallels images, because they also use openVZ as a basis.

so on the one hand i could convert the xen image into openVZ or use the qemu with kvm, but on the other hand me or someone could try the dab thing.

They have something for Parallels Server - this is not Parallels Virtuozzo.

dab is the easiest. if deb packages are available anyone with basic knowledge can build a production ready appliance in one day, experienced people in one hour. (assumed you know the application you want to install in detail)
