Hi everyone!

I've just purchased a Community proxmox subscription.

After configuring the Enterprise repository, I was expecting to see some package updates, due to the advertised "security enhancements" that are included with the subscription.

However, no new packages were found in the update process.

Is my system possibly not configured correctly?

To be clear, I am fully aware that an open-source project needs to be supported in order to survive, and I am happy to do so.

I'm also very happy that there aren't important things "locked away" from free users. This is a good model which I entirely support.

However, I'm a bit miffed that this wasn't advertised transparently. The marketing made it appear as if there were security enhancements which are only available to paid users.

Well… you spare yourself the hassle of having to install a base OS and then install Proxmox onto it all by yourself. This is what the pve installer provides you with and I can see a good number of people who want to have Proxmox installed, but either don't want the additional effort to maintain the base OS or are unsure of how to do so in the first place. You can treat pve as a sort of appliance, which surely has its appeal.

And yes, purchasing a proxmox community subscription is more an acknowledgement of the pve appliance, than it has to do with functionality or more features.
