Hi.

Virtual Environment 9.2.21
7.0.14-24-pve

Some kernels ago, the messages below started spamming my screen, they repeat every half second or so, and they are filling my logs with useless crap.
atm my /var/log/syslog.1 is over 800 megs

This is an old Asus Z10PA-D8 motherboard, and there is no bios updates.
This has not been an issue with this motherboard [edit: AND these exact same BIOS settings] until relatively recently after some kernel update.

Please, does anyone know how to easily disable this. Some quick search reveals some extremely complicated things with editing and merging some things, looks like hours of pain.

Thanks for any help

Hi, thanks for posting.

If you haven't read this post, it may help you.
I found an earlier thread with the same PRAD, H2RD, HSCI and _L24 error sequence:
- Link to proxmox related thread (it's in German, but you can translate to English in the browser).
That was on a different older server motherboard. The poster eventually reported stopping the repeated messages by disabling GPE 0x24.

And run the following, post the output as we want to see the rate of the event counter increasing.

Code:
cat /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/gpe24
sleep 5
cat /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/gpe24

Thanks,
Gareth
