[SOLVED] Empty response from proxmox web interface at port 8006

maybe you missed to type in https:// (with an s in front of the ip)?

I think I tried that.
  • Does it implement auto redirect to https?
  • Is an empty response page expected in the case of non-secure http?
That particular HW has since been repurposed but I'm willing to give proxmox another try.

Does it implement auto redirect to https?
no - the automatic redirect would require a different port (80) to redirect to the ssl one.
Is an empty response page expected in the case of non-secure http?
yes - at least in my experience

if this does not solve the problem - check the journal (ssh into the box and check for messages from 'pveproxy' in the output of `journalctl -b`) - and the pveproxy logs: /var/log/pveproxy/access.log

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the help. Finally got around to reinstalling proxmox. Web gui works fine this time around using https, so I'm guessing that was my problem the first time.
