Hi, I use RDX to backup offline my secondary PBS server datastore.
I've un RDX charger and I would eject the cartridge after synch job as finished successfully.
Is possible to add this functionality on synch job for removable device (or for all type of synch job) or add a post script launcher to add command to make action after synch job terminated successfully (or not).

Thanks ...

Hi, Thanks for your answer, but the https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6598 have more request that i say.
In the job synch process on a removal device, there are already "run on mount" and "unmount when done", and this two options are great for a removable device. I just say if you can add eject option or a possibility to launch a script after the job as finished. I think that with this new feature, RDX management would be complete and could even prove useful for other media.

I'm a RDX user too and I just use the eject button on the drive.
Is the cartridge still mounted the button doesn't work. So no need to worry anything.
I wouldn't use a "eject when finished" option at all, because if I'm unable to change the cartridge some days the next sync is still going on the inserted cartridge. And I use push sync btw. because of encryption.

Hi JensF,
In fact, the advantage of having a job-level script is that—even without an automatic RDX loader—you can automatically eject the RDX cartridge to ensure a true offline backup after job finished.
