Duplicate VMID on adding a node to a cluster created a ghost KVM

Fortunately, I haven't lost my mind.. yet. I had done some testing and created a VM on machine X which had defaulted to an ID of 100. Once I joined the machine to the proxmox cluster, the KVM daemon is still running that virtual machine, but it does not show up in the proxmox UI because there is already a machine with the ID of 100.

This confused me for quite some time, as I was able to ssh into the host, but couldn't actually find a proxmox node that was running it until I dove in. Is there any way to recover this ghost and add it to the cluster properly?

Yeah it makes sense post hoc--- I tried searching on the forum, but I probably just couldn't find the right search terms. I'll look again.
