Hello, I'm currently doing my project work for the IHK.
My topic is high availability system.

The following initial situation:
I have 2 Rocky Linux servers where our in-house merchandise management system is already running. The data for this system is stored in block devices. Once in sda 5 and sda 6. Now I would like to use DRBD to transfer the data from these block devices to the other server, into exactly the same block devices, so that in the end you also have the same data on the 2nd server if you use the merchandise management system starts. To do this, I have to take the already exciting data from the block devices sda 5 and 6 for the DRBD in order to then feed it into the 2nd server.

Does anyone have any idea about this and can explain to me how best to solve this?

You need to keep a few things in mind:
DRBD is developed and supported primarily by Linbit - a completely separate company from PVE.
Installing and configuring DRBD is mostly out of the scope of this particular forum.
Trying to implement a non-greenfield installation, ie on existing data, definitely needs to be guided by DRBD experts.

I am not DRDB expert, however, I think you should be reading this portion of the guide: https://linbit.com/drbd-user-guide/users-guide-drbd-8-4/#s-external-meta-data

I would highly recommend building a test lab, virtual will do nicely, before making any changes in your production.

Good luck
