Download Templates

I'm new to proxmox and lxc templates in general. I'd like to deploy a opensuse "tumbleweed" template but only leap is showing up. I see a "download from url" option but I'm not sure where one might find templates such as this. I found via google search this site that seems to suggest there's a template for "tumbleweed". Is this saying there's a template or image available and if so where can I download this via proxmox? There's lots of images here but I'm not sure how to download and install via proxmox if in fact it's actually a viable option.

hi,

to download the tumbleweed template you can browse the link you've sent and reach this directory here:
https://us.images.linuxcontainers.org/images/opensuse/tumbleweed/amd64/default/

click the latest available from there, and copy the link for rootfs.tar.xz which is the archive of the container's root filesystem. this can be downloaded using wget in the shell or by using the UI option for downloading via link. after the template has been downloaded you can make a new container using it. (it might make sense to also rename "rootfs.tar.xz" to something more descriptive like "opensuse_tumbleweed.tar.xz" or so)
