hmm.. looks interesting,
what are your versions? (proxmox-backup-manager version --verbose)

can you post the beginning and end of both task logs ?

also are you sure your schedule is correct?
it now says: 'every tuesday at every hour + 10 min' so 00:10, 01:10, 02:20, etc.
the job itself then takes ~14 hours so to schedule it every hour on one day of the week seems as it were not intended

Thanks, that makes some sense. What I don't get is why the scheduled task wasn't run another 22 times and what was significantly different about the second time that it ran while the other 22 didn't.

well it will not run twice simultaneously, so while the first one is running no other will start.
the question is why the second one started since it wasn't tuesday anymore?

I use Debian chrony and it's configured to UTC+10:00
That seems significant, but it doesn't explain what's happening.
pbs web shows the correct local time and timezone.

This doesn't appear to be happening anymore. Maybe since I upgraded to pbs 3.
The schedule tue 1..3:10 is a lot better

BTW. I can't seem to edit my old posts to mark this as solved.
