Double notifications from PBS and PVE

Hi,

I have PVE running side-by-side to my PBS, mostly for the parts of the GUI that is not implemented in PBS, like updates.

And I have notifications enabled both in PVE and PBS. So now I'm getting notifications twice.

Is it safe to disable notifications in either PVE or PBS? I wouldn't want to miss any notifications that might be sent out only by one of them...

it depends...

If the pve just runs the backups and the pbs just do the verify and prune, i would keep it that way....

No, PVE doesn't do anything. I only have it there for the GUI features. This is just my PBS with an additional GUI.

I'm a little confused. PBS does have "Updates" in the UI, but even if it wouldn't, updating is literally just apt update and apt dist-upgrade, nothing more. Calling a whole PVE installation for just that 'overkill' is an understatement. Are there other reasons you have PVE running?

Hah, I never found that. Knowing (from you) that this exists, I now found it (but I had to look several times, because . Thanks!

No, so I guess - with my newly acquired knowledge - I can now not only remove the PVE notifications but the entire PVE.
