Disk Space

Hi,

I plan to build a cluster which uses network storage for vm's only. I can get servers with an internal USB stick with 4GB. Is this sufficient or is this not a good idea in general?

An other option is to use a MD set for the local proxmox setup. May this be OK?

Installing on USB 4GB requires a lot of manual fiddling.

For root 4GB is sufficient provided you place /var/lib/vz on a different disk.
USB is slow as hell so to avoid wear-out and speed issues you should install /var/run (possible /run) and /tmp on TMPFS.

Thanks, I think I will use disks, so even if I may not need it I've a bit local storage too.
