Disk IO Throttle

Hi,

Can VM's that use ceph be throttle? I just test and set as picture. But from iops it's higher then i set. Mean it's not function well. Please advice.

Proxmox 4.4
Ceph hammer

The current setup is using VirtIO. Now test using SCSI.

Using option SCSI, can achieve disk throttle.

I have a concern regarding disk throttle. Does it restrict cached reads as well or just reads and writes to the image?

about which cache are you talking about? Inside the guest or host?

The throttle is above the host cache, so settings like direct or writeback are still active, reads/writes of the data is throttled.
