hello, does somebody know why disconnecting the vm network device is considered to be an "advanced operation", whereas setting the vlan tag or mac adress is considered basic operation?
i'm curious, because i have disconnected network multiple times for permanently shutdown vms, so that they won't get connected to the network again when accidentally powered on again.
it's the third time now, that colleagues struggled to find the reason, why the vm wouldn't connect to the network after vm has been brought back into business - because that option is hidden in advanced settings. whereas it always was dead simple to connect/disconnect vm network in vmware....
