Disclaimer too long...

We have been using the disclaimer function for several versions. So far no problems.Now we want to adjust the text of the disclaimer. However, this fails because after confirmation the message appears:

too long line in disclaimer - breaks RFC 5322! (500)

Question: how much text can the disclaimer contain in version 7.3.7? (Our disclaimer is a little longer.. )

Hey,

the overall length of your disclaimer isn't directly limited by RFC 5322[1], but rather by the maximum length of a line(998 characters). So, you can have a disclaimer that's quite long as long as you make sure it's formatted such that no single line goes over the character limit.
