Disabling Screen on Dell Latitude E6330

Hi,

I´m trying to disable my screen so save even more Energy (With Screen on = 9W). Unfortunately putting

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="consoleblank=300"

and then

update-grub

(and even rebooting). Does not have an effect.

I also set the brightnes in the BIOS to 0% and when turning on proxmox it goes to 100% again.
The FN for sleep for example is working but those for display brightness not (Keyboard is working :facepalm

Hi, I have the same problem. The screen goes blank with the changes you describe, but the backlit of the display is still on. Did you manage to find a solution?

Does the display turn of when you close the lid of the laptop? If you cannot close the lid, you could try putting a little magnet left or right from the keyboard.

Yes it turns off when I close the lid.
