[SOLVED] Disable/set up notifications,...?

Hi everyone,

this might be a silly question, but I’m going to go crazy if I don’t ask.

I’ve set up a PBS server as a remote repository that pulls backups from my main PBS server every hour.

Now I’m getting an email every hour saying the process was successful. I’ve tried everything: adjusting the notifications, Disabled all notifications. Disabled the notification target, etc.The only thing that helped was shutting down the server.

It’s nice to get notifications, but I just want to receive errors and possibly warnings. Not every successful sync, prune, etc...

What am I missing...?

In each PBS’s datastore options tab you can change tasks to errors only, etc.

Quick question to clarify.

It says "Legacy"... Does that mean the "Global" setting under the "Notifications" menu applies to everything and will become the new default?

Per the Help button:
"Datastores and tape backup/restore job configuration have a<span>notification-mode</span> option which can have one of two values:

• Send notifications based on the global notification settings (<span>notification-system</span>).
• Send notification emails via the system's <span>sendmail</span> command(<span>legacy-sendmail</span>). Any targets or matchers from the global notification settings are ignored. This mode is equivalent to the notification behavior for Proxmox Backup Server versions before 3.2. It might be removed in a later release of Proxmox Backup Server."

I missed they were thinking of removing it in 4.x. :-/ The (main) > Configuration > Notifications section has matching rules so I imagine that is the "new preferred" way to do it. It's not as easy as a few dropdowns, though.
