Difficulties with ZFS on one node

I'll preface this with saying that I'm fairly new to Proxmox. I have built a couple of nodes multiple times as I've torn them back down and started over as I've learned more in my journey. Right now I've got two nodes and will be adding a third one shortly. The two existing nodes are identical hardware except for one has a 1TB NVMe drive an the other has a 2TB NVMe.

I added a ZFS pool to the first node with no issues. I cannot get the second node to behave the same way. It's likely I'm not doing something correctly, but I've rebuilt it a couple of times now and keep getting the same result so maybe someone can point me to what I'm doing wrong.

When I look at the configurations, they look quite different but I'm not sure why. I'm not sure what info will help but here's a start.

Node 2

Here is the storage.cfg

Node 2 - Empty so I click Create: ZFS

So I am not able to add the ZFS pool to the second node.

What have I missed?

You built the 1st node with a zfs boot/rpool, and the 2nd node with ext4+LVM.

Rerun the installer on node 2 and select ZFS RAID0 if you're not doing a mirror setup.

Alternatively you could shrink partition 4, create partition 5 and create a zpool on it from commandline, but reinstalling is arguably easier if it's a fresh node with nothing on it yet.

Ugh, you're exactly right. I forgot I did that. I was really trying to solve it myself so I wouldn't do a stupid post, but I did. Thank you for reminding me.
