Different Retention for different VMs?

Hi there,

i'm backuping a Proxmox-Server to a Proxmox Backup Server.
I've two Backup-Jobs:
- One for all VMs for a daily backup to a given time (#1)
- One, that creates backups of VMs, that changes data frequently all 15 Minutes on working hours (Ticket-Systems for example, we're i want to minimize data loss in case of failure) (#2)

The Backup Server is configured with these Prune-Settings:

So i want to be able to hold the last 36 hourly backups for the three VMs 103,107 and 108 to recovery to any state, also over a weekend. For example, if it's monday and i have to restore the last friday 16:15.

My problem now is, that i have on the other VMs a longer retention time as needed.
For example: VM/111 is only backuped by Job #1 (daily), but holds about 50 snapshots (like the VMs 103, 107 and 108). I don't need there these hourly 36 backups - 7 Daily, 4 Weekly, 3 Monthly and 1 Yearly would be enough.

So i'm not sure, how i would have to configure my jobs to achive this?

I would like to configure the VMs, for which the Prune Job is executed - but there's no option to set the related VMs.
I would say, i have to backup the VMs 103,107,108 to a different namespace, so i can setup a different prune job - would this be the answer, or is there another way?

Edit: I can't select the Namespace within the Backup Job? Would i have to add the Proxmox Backup Server twice to the Proxmox-Server with different Namespaces?

Thanks in advance,
Bastian

you can either switch to using namespaces, or move the pruning to the PVE side..
