Did SPICE audio quality get worse in 9.1?

I'm not sure if I'm imagining things, or if it's another link in the chain (also very possible), but I actually have my music collection on a virtual machine and play it back via SPICE, and I swear that mid-quality (192Kbps mp3) files I've been listening to for years sound audibly compressed lately. This never used to be a problem, I've been listening this way for years. I'm just curious if anybody else has noticed anything similar.

Hi,

creative approach.
Audio chains are fragile, and SPICE is not designed for pristine playback.
A small change in codec, resampling, or system load can suddenly make MP3 artifacts happen.
It’s also possible your host system updated something in the audio chain, which can expose compression artifacts you never noticed before.
Could I ask you, why such complicated schema used?
BTW you could use sunshine/moonlight, it's designed for streaming.
