Dell VRTX with Proxmox VE 4.0

Hi all,

Due to the lack of such a box in our testlabs, we cannot test Proxmox VE 4.0 on Dell VRTX.

Are there any experiences with Dell VRTX boxes and Proxmox VE already?

I'm not sure that the raid controller is working on linux ?

I'm pretty sure it was not working with 3.10 kernel, maybe with 4.2 kernel from proxmox 4.0 is it working, but i'm not sure.

I don't have one & brief googling (which I'm sure you did too) shows the drivers have been available since last year. There was a write performance issue fixed with a firmware update to the Shared PERC8.

I"m curious where an application like this would be attractive. Cluster-in-a-box? Proxmox would have to use a clustered filesystem?
