Ubuntu seems supported - and the PVE kernel is based on Ubuntu's kernel.

Thanks but I thought PVR was based Debian as that changed. I have ordered the hardware and looking virtualization solution
PVE is based on Debian (PVE 7 on Debian Bullseye) - this is correct, but we ship a kernel based on Ubuntu (mostly because lxc and apparmor are a bit more updated there, but also because the Ubuntu kernels are usually a bit newer and thus support newer hardware)
