I would check if the BIOS has an available update, if yes - please update the BIOS and test the new pve-kernel.

Same problem here. Dell T140. Proxmox-kernel-6.5.11-4. Older one (5.15.131-1-pve) works fine. Last BIOS installed 2.14.1, didn't help.

Same problem on Dell R240. Boot from JBoss RAID1 LVM 6.5.11-4-pve
Same machine on 6.2.16-19-pve no problem

We find this:

Code:
echo "simplefb" >> /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
update-initramfs -u -k 6.5.11-4-pve (or update-initramfs -u -k all)
# reboot

But it doesn't solve the problem

Same problem on PowerEdge R340. Boot from JBoss RAID1 LVM 6.5.11-4-pve
Same machine on 6.2.16-19-pve no problem

Hi All

... we currently have the same issue on dell R240 - no matter what bios version you use, kernel 6.5 hangs after "loading initrd".

All other systems (wortmann, supermicro, etc.) no issue at all.

The dell works fine if I revert the kernel to 6.2

Tobias

same here - dell t140 (2021)

all bios/firmware up to date

I also have a new t350 but it seems to be working fine.

i saw today there was a new kernel version but that didn't seem to help either. So right now i can only boot from 6.2.16-19-pve
