Dear proxmox people,

We are strongly envisionning proxmox for my client. We had dell people at the office to propose a setup based on the following (ugly) White paper here.
In terms of hardware, we'll get 6 nodes (R440) with 2TB of ram in total.
The idea would be to attach those nodes to a powerstore and use thé iscsi/nvme_over_tcp and LVM for the storage.

Could someone help me revient the proposer solutions and also why the white paper doesnt seems to have a dedicated corosync network?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I would recommend a dedicated network for corosync, I have been using a standalone switch (does not have to be anything fancy)in larger clusters. Have you considered blockbridge storage? They utilize dell hardware, and are tightly integrated with proxmox. We have several deployed and have been very happy with them. Simple to manage at scale.

I ve informed them and they responded that has we'll have 25GB network for internode - SAN access, the latency shouldnt be an issue. Should I worry ?

We use our storage network for secondary corosync (ring1), storage traffic or migration congestion could still cause higher latency so I still run the primary ring on its own switch. $100 lightly managed switch from FS.com works perfectly fine in this capacity.
